Avaaz.org empowers ordinary people from every corner of the globe to directly contact key global decision-makers, corporations and the media by alerting members (via email and text messages) to new campaigns and opportunities on pressing global issues.

This video recently won dogoodertv's non profit video contest. As much as I like the message here one could argue it's a bit oversimplified or utopistic. In any regard, it certainly brings attention to some of the biases/prejudices I've unintentionally come to accept. I think it's important to keep such things in check as our perceptions are often misled by what we call the news and for that reminder I thank the Avaaz Foundation.
