Gregg and Evan Spiridellis Speak!

Seems like just about everyone in the blogosphere is talking about the internet as a new channel for marketing candidates and the power of these allegedly user generated videos as the new "main event" for campaigning. Much of this buzz coming from the new video spoof of a classic 1984 Apple commercial in which Hillary is the contrived ranting voice of complacency while Obama is positioned alongside Apple; I need not tell you what is being denoted here.

I won't comment on my political position for either candidate mostly because I have not full-heartedly sided with one or the other. But as an internet marketer, the notion of viral video content being a major media outlet for campaigns is intriguing and I think it will be exciting to see how this plays out or if it even plays out at all as it takes more than just one successful video to earn the title of being the new "main event" for reaching voters.
